Seeing Slowly.

About This Retreat

Seeing Slowly.

Photography is more than capturing images — it is learning how to notice. Over four days at Edgewater Studio, this retreat invites you to slow down, pay attention, and reconnect with the world through the lens of presence.

Designed for all experience levels, you’ll explore photography as a practice of awareness rather than perfection. Whether you use a professional camera or your phone, the focus is not on gear — it is on seeing light, texture, movement, and meaning in ordinary moments.

Through guided walks, creative prompts, and reflective sessions, you’ll learn how to make images that feel honest, personal, and alive.

The Experience

Our lakeside setting offers endless opportunities to observe nature, stillness, and changing light throughout the day. Forest paths, waterfront mornings, and quiet evenings become your classroom.

There will be time for solo exploration, group sharing, and gentle feedback sessions designed to support your creative eye. You’ll leave with a refreshed sense of attention, a collection of meaningful images, and a deeper relationship with the act of seeing.
