Deer Lake, Washington

The Art of Letting Go

A lakeside creative retreat where artists, makers, and seekers come to create freely, connect deeply, and exhale completely.

What This is

Part workshop. Part vacation. Part coming home.

Edgewater Studio retreats are 3–4 day immersive experiences on Deer Lake — intimate, fully-hosted, and led by featured artists and thought leaders. Twelve to fifteen guests at a time. Meals prepared for you. Everything taken care of.

You come to create. You leave changed.

The Experience

You're already there.

The studio, the cabins, the water — everything is intentionally close. No going somewhere else. No logistics to manage. Just you, inside the experience.

Coffee on the dock. Color in the studio. Stories by the fire. A few days that feel like weeks — in the best possible way.

What Guests Say

Something always shifts.

— Guest, Summer 2025

"I came not knowing exactly why I booked. I left knowing exactly who I am when I stop trying to control everything. That's the only way I can describe it."

— Guest, Fall 2025

"The meals, the studio, the water — all of it. But mostly it was being around people who were actually present. I didn't realize how much I needed that."

— Guest, Spring 2025

"I've been to workshops before. This wasn't a workshop. This was an experience I'm still processing months later. I'll be back."

Questions

A few things people ask.

What skill level do I need?

None. These retreats are designed for anyone who wants to create — beginner or experienced. The focus is on the process, not the product. You don’t need to be an artist to belong here.

Everything. Studio sessions, all meals, lodging in a lakeside cabin, massage therapy access, and full hosting from arrival to departure. You just need to get yourself to Deer Lake.
Typically 12–15. We keep groups small on purpose. This isn’t a conference. It’s an intimate experience, and the size is part of what makes it work.

Ready to let go?

Spots are limited. The next retreat fills faster than you’d expect.
