FAQ

Questions, answered.

What skill level do I need?
Everything. Studio sessions, all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), lodging in a lakeside cabin, massage therapy access, and full hosting from arrival to departure. You just need to get yourself to Deer Lake, Washington.
Typically 12–15 guests. We keep groups small on purpose. This isn’t a conference or a large workshop. It’s an intimate experience, and the size is part of what makes it work.
Guests stay in lakeside cabins just steps from the studio. They’re comfortable, private, and designed for rest — not luxury in a formal sense, but elevated and thoughtfully curated. The goal is that you feel held without feeling like you’re in a hotel.
Just let us know when you register. Our chef accommodates dietary needs with care — this is something we take seriously, not an afterthought.
We understand life happens. Full refunds are available up to 60 days before the retreat. Within 60 days, we’re happy to transfer your registration to a future retreat or offer a partial refund depending on circumstances. Please reach out and we’ll work with you.
Most guests do. Solo attendees are the norm, not the exception. The group dynamic is one of the most meaningful parts of the experience — you’ll leave with people who feel like real connections, not just people you happened to be in a room with.
Deer Lake is accessible by car from Seattle and Spokane. Detailed directions and local airport information are provided after registration. We can also connect you with other guests for carpooling if you’d like.
We’d love to hear from you. We partner with artists, instructors, and thought leaders to build retreats around their work. You bring the vision and expertise — we handle the rest. Visit the Host a Retreat page to learn more and apply.
